The Grascals released their first album in 2004, and were immediately invited by country superstar Dolly Parton to tour with her. In the four years since, they have won 21 SPBGMA and IBMA awards, including 2005 IBMA Best New Artists and 2006 & 2007 IBMA Bluegrass Entertainers of the year. Kristen Scott Benson, 2008 IBMA banjo player of the year, recently joined the band, which also stars mandolin virtuoso Danny Roberts.
Their trademark blend of traditional bluegrass and classic country, delivered with vocal and instrumental intensity and virtuosity, earned them Grammy nominations for their first two critically acclaimed albums, "The Grascals" and "Long List of Heartaches." Their recent Rounder release, "Keep On Walkin", featuring special guest Vince Gill, opened at #1 on the bluegrass Billboard charts. Their live show is hard driving and a guaranteed good time!!!! Don’t miss these guys (and gal)!
