Rural and Retro Bluegrass

...oh yea…it's free…but we “pass the hat/boot!”
…and no reservations needed!
Ok…here we are at week….twenty four!!! The Stillhouse Jammers are a five-piece New England band playing authentic, old-time bluegrass. If you want newgrass, or a slick over-produced Nashville sound, look elsewhere. If the stuff that gets you is the ripping instrumentals, or the soaring 3 and 4 part vocal harmonies, you’ve come to the right place. The band's show combines hand-picked standards and soulful original tunes. We call it “rural and retro bluegrass” – you’ll call it a good night had by all! The band has been honored to play the Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Celebration at the Bill Monroe Homestead in Rosine KY, the Purple Fiddle in WV, and Layla's Bluegrass Inn in downtown Nashville TN. Closer to home, the Jammers played the main stage at the 2008 BBU Joe Val Bluegrass Festival as well as the Weston Playhouse in Vermont and the Eastern States Expo in western mass. The Jammers are in the studio working on a disc at the present time ( Dec 08 ) and look forward to having some recorded product real soon! Looking for a spring 2009 release date!!
The Firebox features many specials…$4.00 pints of locally brewed drafts! $15.00 "growlers"…that's a ½ gallon of beer, including refills!!! There is a “special discounted “bar” menu for Sunday nights…and the foods are fresh and delicious! Most wines are half price for our bluegrass visitors!
Come visit the big brick room, where it’s warm and cozy, and everyone is friendly. Regulars and new fans every week! Plus, you don’t want to miss the next show in the “Sunday Night Bluegrass Series”
