Description

Ok…here we are at week….twenty one!!!

Folks, you really owe it to yourself to come and see what everyone is talking about!  The friendliest bluegrass venue ever!  It’s true, “everyone knows your name,” and if they don’t, they will after a night out here at the Firebox!  It’s more like a club, and you’re invited!  That’s why everyone is starting to call it the “Firebox Bluegrass Club!”

Come on over to the Firebox, where its warm and cozy, and everyone is friendly. Regulars and new fans every week!  Plus, you don’t want to miss the next show in the “Sunday Night Bluegrass Series”

This week The Firebox Restaurant and Frog Hollow Bluegrass presents;

“Blackstone Valley Bluegrass”

“There is only 1 pre-requisite to play with BVBB – you have to live in the Blackstone Valley.  Yes Martha, there really is a Blackstone Valley. Located in the heart of central Ma, exposure to the heavy metal content of the Blackstone River has produced a copious amount of fine bluegrass pickers. ;-)  Most notably are the Dick brothers from Sutton. Renowned musicians and celebrated recording artists, this brother combo will WOW you with their award winning picking. The Taylor-Nowlan bass/mandolin combo has been together in numerous bands for over 10 years. With their own distinctive style, these two crank out solid rhythm, and like to have a little fun too!  Put these four longtime friends together and you have a group that has excellent musicianship, fine harmonies, high energy and a true love of the music. Breakdowns and Gospel. Fiddle tunes and a Waltz. This is bluegrass! You will not be disappointed!!””

Don't miss this show folks…and it's always crowded…so c'mon early and see what all the hub-bub is about.  Join the crowd!  Be there, and be square! You never know who else may show up!

Your hosts for this venue, along with the Firebox Restaurant, are long time bluegrass singers Nick Novia, and the best danged tenor singer you have ever heard, Joe DeLillo! Usually, you can count on a few songs by these two!  Anchoring BigApple'achia and TrueGrass, two veteran traditional bluegrass bands, Nick and Joe are excited about plans which include inviting musicians that travel through the area. It is our intention to make the Firebox "the" place to stop for bluegrass!  It's working!  We have Leigh Gibson coming in March!

The Firebox features many specials…$4.00 pints of locally brewed drafts! $15.00 "growlers"…that's a ½ gallon of beer, including refills!!! The food is most delicious, and fresh!  All wines at $60.00 or less are half off.  Please join us and help the bluegrass community establish another great venue! Contact me if you want to sing a song or pick one or two!  It's a fun night out in "Frog Hollow!"  Many folks do.  Come early and get a good seat! The doors open at 4:30PM!

 ...oh yea…it's free…but we “pass the hat/boot!”
