Description
Following the Slow Jam, we will present a showing of a new bluegrass movie.
Ryan Gielan produced/directed a feature film about bluegrass legend Larry Keel called LARRY KEEL BEAUTIFUL THING, following him on tour for a year. His films have won awards in festivals across the country, it's a great profile of a really incredible musician and has been released on Amazon.
The HVBA will be hosting a screening at 7:30 p.m.

Beautiful Thing 2009 Re-Release!
Beautiful Thing was the first and only film to play at Merlefest, and has since sold thousands of copies around the country. Hopefully the film will become more important as Larry's music grows- Ryan thinks he has captured an amazing piece of his career, a real turning point.

DIRECTIONS to Pirate Canoe Club, about 1/2 mile north of IBM on Rte. 9 in Poughkeepsie:
- Southbound on Rte. 9 in Poughkeepsie, after passing the “Locust Grove SFB Morse Home”, turn right at “Hudson Loop Luxury Apartments” (It’s the road right before Coyote Grill)…go 0.7 miles down to the Hudson River.
- Northbound on Rte 9 in Poughkeepsie, make a U-Turn across the divided highway at the traffic light in front of “Locust Grove SFB Morse Home” (which will be on your left)….go south for 100 yards and turn right at “Rivercrest East” (It’s the road right before Coyote Grill)…go 0.7 miles down to the Hudson River.
