Laurie Lewis and The Right Hands
When: Friday, November 18 at 7:30pm
Where: Christ Church - 20 Carroll Street, Poughkeepsie, NY
Tickets: Online, or call 475-8830
Those of you who saw Laurie and Tom at Grey Fox already know how lucky the HVBA is to have this band in Poughkeepsie. Don't miss out on the Early Bird Special, which will end in just 10 days. You don't want to miss this concert!
Harmony Workshop
So....we lied. Well, it really wasn't a LIE. We had closed the registration for this workshop because of limited space and now we have been lucky enough to find a larger room and registration has reopened. However, there are only a few spots left, as we want to keep this group to a manageable size. This promises to be a very valuable afternoon and all who want to learn or improve their harmony singing should be certain to sign up now.

The details and the ticket information for the October 29th workshop can be found on our website.
New Members
Matthew McCarthy is the latest HVBA member and we are delighted to welcome him to the bluegrass association!
Our Website
You rock, Mark Hudson! Mark has just added another CD review notch to his belt. This time he takes a look at Ravens and Crows by Dehlia Low. Take a look for yourself and read what Mark thinks of this CD.

For Our Members
From Fred Robbins:
Hi Folks,

Here's another example of the great bluegrass connections I've been blessed with.

By an omission on my part, Jerry Hagins saw two of my Berkshire 1980 photos where I had not identified fiddler Doc Hamilton with Buck White.  (Here they are!)

He passed the comment on to Doc, who passed it on to Frank Godbey, who passed it on to me. (My thanks to all three of you!)

After I fixed it, I got a nice email from Doc. He offered to share some of his great photos. So here they are:
