| POLL: Guitar or Mandolin Workshop with Josh Williams? It's up to YOU. |
Please take this poll only if you are interested in attending.
Josh Williams, the mandolin player and lead vocalist for the Tony Rice Unit, will be in Poughkeepsie on Friday, May 13th. If enough people are interested in attending a guitar or a mandolin workshop with Josh, the IBMA Guitar Player of the Year for 2008, 2009, and 2010 and the SPBGMA Guitar Performer of the Year for 2004-2010, we will go for it.
The workshop will be held in Poughkeepsie from 1-3PM. However, before we can proceed, we first need to find out if enough people will sign up for this workshop and we need to know your preference. Will it be a mandolin or a guitar session? By the way, this will be a "working" workshop. You will leave this workshop having gained something of value. This will not be an unstructured "question and answer" workshop. The price will be between $20 or $25, depending upon the number of participants.
Once the poll is complete, we will let you know the details. We need at least 18 people to make this happen. Please complete the poll today. |

| Teresa and Martin Rahilly spent Sunday afternoon at the Cary Institute attending "The Ecology of Tonewoods: The 'Roots' of the Bluegrass Sound." They stayed on to listen to a jam session and now they are members of the HVBA. They will also be joining all of us at The Tony Rice Unit Concert. Welcome, Teresa & Martin! |
