Really, guys, you don't want to miss hearing (and playing with) this great band!!! Come early at 6:30pm for a light dinner and bring your friends with you. We promise you that this will be another great HVBA concert!
Be sure to listen to their music and you will know why you should be with us this Friday night!!!
Special Consensus with Greg Cahill, former IBMA President, have been at the forefront of the IBMA's "Bluegrass In The Schools" program. On Feb. 11, in the afternoon, the band will be at Oakwood Friends School to demonstrate bluegrass instruments, answer questions and entertain students and faculty in anticipation of the BITS program the HVBA hopes to present next year at their school. |

| Howard Tubbs (1931-2011) |
We are sad to report the loss of a good friend and ardent lover of bluegrass music.
Howard L. Tubbs, 79, died on February 2, 2011 after a 15 year struggle with Parkinson's Disease.
Howard had many interests, including maintaining and enjoying antique wooden boats, square dancing, and playing harmonica. Howard was a master carpenter, had a gentle, easy going nature, was always eager to lend a helping hand, and was a regular at HVBA concerts, especially during our early years. Our condolences go out to his entire family and friends, especially his wife Dolores. Anyone who has been connected with the HVBA since the beginning knows that Dolores was our very first member, served for many years as Secretary, Treasurer, and Membership Coordinator, and our first board meetings were held in Howard and Dolores' home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA. |
